Health Remedies - Pyrosis (Heartburn)

Product Categories

Pyrosis (Heartburn) is a painful or burning sensation in the esophagus, just below the breastbone. The important cause of heartburn is acid reflux, which occurs due to the back-flow of stomach acid to esophagus. Heartburn is most common after overeating, when bending over or when lying down. Pregnancy, tight clothing, stress and obesity can also make heartburn worse. Heartburn may also be associated with certain disease conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), hiatal Hernia, stomach or duodenal ulcers, gastritis, gastroparesis, asthma, diabetes etc. The heartburn may be aggravated by many other factors such as cigarette smoking, drinking alcohol, spicy foods, chocolates, citrus fruits and juices, coffee etc.
